Petrophysics Data Manager
Description:

The Petrophysics
Data Manager (PP Data Manager) is responsible for delivering
data management services and maintaining Recall &
Techlog projects on-line plus other project and corporate
databases. Additionally, Data Manager is responsible for log
data loading, data migration, data manipulation, data
cleanup, naming standards, archiving and supporting Petrophysical community in the petroleum engineering
disciplines.

Roles &
Responsibilities:
·
Manage
all Petrophysical data.
·
Provide
petrophysical data management services and help customers in
their daily work.
·
Follow
and maintain the naming and storing procedures of log data
in the Recall database
·
Recognize
log quality issues and provide solutions (e.g., value
ranges, units verification, family assignments, etc).
·
Use
OpenSpirit as means to transfer data, understanding proper storage requirements of data
in
OpenWorks

·
Follow
the EP16 Information Management (IM) processes, and provide
input (or develop) PP DM workflow as new applications are
added
·
Assist
asset teams to achieve their data management
targets.
·
Provide
data loading and other manipulation in Techlog and between
applications and Disciplines
·
Promote
and raise awareness in the subsurface community on
information management services provided.
·
Knowledge
and understanding of Core data, Test data, Log, and Zonal
data, Formats and ability to trouble shoot and
support
·
Knowledge and well grounded in the
PP discipline
·
Follow,
maintain and implement data standards.
·
Define
and manage projects for improvements in DM and
workflows.
·
Collaborate within the IM/DM and
Geomatics community to pick up and share best practice and look for opportunities to align activities and
services.
·
Contribute to the migration of
subsurface data to standard data management
architecture.
·
Work in
close co-operation with other data managers and Subsurface
application portfolio teams, EPX, EPW or other global
teams.
·
Work in
close cooperation with the petrophysical
discipline leads in SCIN.
·
Work in
close cooperation with COE DM&G Teams
·
Work in
close cooperation with the DM&G Discipline
Lead.
·
Share
knowledge and best practices throughout (SKS)

Job Description:
The Petrophysics Data Manager will focus on
providing fit-for-purpose data management services to the
Petrophysical community and balances the need for immediate
local solutions and a move toward a standard global data
management architecture. It is critical in this position
that Data Manager implements EP16 standards and
workflows.

Another special challenge will be to engage the
teams in doing proper data management, work with the
customers towards improvements and collaborating with data
management colleagues to implement data management
solutions.

Experience and
Qualifications required:

B.Sc. in Petrophysics (or 5+ years
of industry experience in a Petrophysical
Data Management)
Experience in an information or data
management role.
In depth knowledge of Recall and
Techlog or similar petrophysical programs
Knowledge and understanding of Core
data, Test data, Log, and Zonal data, Formats and ability to
trouble shoot
Knowledge and well
grounded in the PP discipline
Knowledge of Exploration and
Development processes, workflows
Basic knowledge of OpenWorks,
Petrel, OpenSpirit and WinLog
Knowledge and experience in PC,
Linux/Unix environment (Commands, File manipulation, Remote
connection and SQLPLUS)
Teamwork & Collaboration -
Ability to work with Earth Scientists, Engineers, and
Management.

Geology & Geophysics (G&G) Data Manager

Description:

G&G Data Manager is responsible for delivering and
maintaining data management services for
OpenWorks/SeisWorks/123DI and Petrel projects plus any other
project and corporate databases per request. Additionally,
G&G Data Manager is responsible for well and seismic
data loading, well data loading, data editing, data transfer
between applications, creating syntatics, providing data
quality control,
assuring synchronization (with multiple project data bases
and corporate data bases), maintaining consistent
datum/units, and troubleshooting/fixing data errors when
they occur.
G&G Data Manager has to be
responsible for maintaining inventory of data, regularly
optimising data and applying EP16 Data Standards.
G&G Data Manager must be able to support customers in the geo-science
and petroleum engineering disciplines, lead and/or participate in
establishing data management practices and procedures work
group personnel to follow.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage Exploration and Geological
well and seismic data.
Provide data management services and help customers in their daily work.
Follow and maintain the strategy for
seismic and well data.
Contribute toward information/data
management plan and ensure proper execution of this
plan. Follow the Information
Management/Data Management (IM/DM) processes –
EP16
Assist asset teams to achieve their
data management targets.
Promote and raise awareness in the
subsurface community on EP16 Data management Standards and
Processes.
Follow, maintain and implement data
standards.
Define and manage projects for
improvements in Data Management and workflows.
Collaborate within the
IM/DM/Geomatics community to pick up and share best practice
and look for opportunities to align activities and
services.
Work on continues effort of SS
(seismic and wells) data clean up, optimisation and
standardization.
Work in close co-operation with CoE
DM&G Teams; seek guidance and assistance in implementing
DM best practices.
Work in close cooperation with the
geo-science and petroleum engineering discipline lead in
SCIN.
Work in close cooperation with the
DM&G Discipline Lead.

data, research and resolve data integrity
problems. Teamwork & Collaboration -
Ability to work with Earth Scientists, Engineers, and
Management.

Ability to apply broad understanding
of upstream processes and technology to analyze and solve
problems.
Knowledge and experience in PC,
Linux/Unix environment (Commands, File manipulation, Remote
connection, and SQLPLUS)
Strong experience supporting data,
PS applications, systems, and tools.
Familiarity with Petrel, OpenSpirit,
WinLog, ARC GIS, PowerExplorer and Recall.
Experience with working in
teams. Excellent communication and
